We’re promoting disability confidence because we know that businesses and employers want practical ways to address some of the unspoken fears and concerns about hiring people with a disability or illness.
We want to tell you about all the different supports and services that are available to you and your business, and the practical ways that we can help you build your disability confidence.
We see and work with people’s ability and potential every day. We help over 200 people with disabilities every year to find suitable work, or stay in work if they’re recovering from illness or long term health conditions.
We know that going to work makes a real difference to people’s lives. We provide a free, specialist employment support service and work with businesses of all sizes.
We’re involved because:
We see the necessity of focusing on ability rather than disability
We want to encourage employers to consider the benefits of employing people with disability
We want this region to be the leader in Disability Confidence
We believe experiential evidence is the way forward
That’s why we are calling on member companies to become Disability Confidence Champions.
